Yukon to Ukraine Mission #2: June 2023

In June 2023, Lesia Hnatiw and Donna Reimchen made UCAY’s second trip to Ukraine. They delivered over $50,000 CAD of antibiotics along with other medical supplies to the municipal hospital in Yuzhnoukrains’k. During their visit, they also provided $10,000 donated by UCAY supporters to the hospital directors Drs. Serhii Lupov and Maksym Berezovyy. With these funds, they procured a sterilization unit, motorized chair for head and throat procedures, ICU syringe pumps, and neonatal equipment, as well as some medicines for front line soldiers.

As well as the medicines and hospital equipment, several thousands of dollars of military first aid supplies, radios, binoculars, wool socks, laptops, tablets, and cell phones were donated to the Pokrova Chortkiv volunteers to be sent to military units.
